Last year, INgrooves founder Robb McDaniels took the wraps off his new business, Faction Entertainment – which is aiming to do for artist managers what the ‘label services’ model did for independent record companies before it.
Today, Faction announced the addition of its most high-profile client yet, veteran artist manager Randy Jackson, as the number of managers under its umbrella reached 25.
Jackson, well-known as a former judge on TV’s American Idol, is a Grammy Award-winning producer in his own right, as well as a respected bassist and artist.
As a manager, he looks after a roster of pop and Latin artists and producers, which suits Faction following a recent expansion into supporting songwriters and producers.
“I worked closely with Robb for several years when he was running INgrooves, and was impressed by the forward-thinking, service-oriented approach he built at that company,” commented Jackson.
“The world of talent management needed a similar approach and solution to help us all adapt to the realities and opportunities of the global marketplace, and Faction delivers the goods.”
Faction, which has offices in Los Angeles and New York, also confirmed today the addition of emerging managers Ethan Geltzer (NY) and Jeff DeLia (LA) to its professional family.
“We are all thrilled that Randy, Ethan and Jeff have joined our management company and will bring their unique perspectives and experiences into the fold.”

Geltzer recently left the digital marketing group at Island Records and became a full time manager of EDM artists and producers, including multiplatinum producer Lookas, SMLE and Just a Gent
DeLia represents an impressive roster of Americana and Blues artists including, 2017 Grammy nominated artists Bobby Rush and Janiva Magness, as well as A.J. Croce, The Dustbowl Revival and Jarekus Singleton.
Faction provides managers with a centralized set of marketing and administrative services, a collaborative office, plus technology to streamline daily work flow.
In addition, it offers an ownership structure that rewards all its management clients.
Robb McDaniels, Faction’s Founder & CEO, commented: “We are all thrilled that Randy, Ethan and Jeff have joined our management company and will bring their unique perspectives and experiences into the fold.
“The artists they so passionately represent will benefit from the expanding suite of services our dedicated employees are here to provide and we look forward to helping them build the value of their management companies in the months to come,”
Faction was founded by McDaniels alongside Kevin Zinger and Ivory Daniel from Regime Management.
Its initial management partners included Kino Childrey (Royce 5’9, Slaughterhouse, Pete Rock), Paul Stepanek (Sick Puppies, Trevor Hall), Marc Friedenberg (Jamestown Revival), Anna Axster (Ryan Bingham) and Brian Ross (Thievery Corporation, Blackalicious).Music Business Worldwide
