Music publisher Rimas Publishing and full-service entertainment group Made in Memphis Entertainment (MIME) announced Tuesday (June 4) a new collaboration to promote cross-cultural creativity within the music industry.

For Rimas Publishing, the partnership represents its first such venture with a full-service entertainment company in the general market. Meanwhile, for MIME, it marks the company’s first collaboration with a Latin company. The agreement opens doors for joint creative projects featuring artists from both firms.

Rimas Publishing, based in Miami, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, is home to a roster of authors and producers, including Bad Bunny, Eladio Carrión, Corina Smith, Mora, Súbelo NEO, Caleb Calloway, YENSANJUAN, Lennex, and Lizzy Parra. The company offers a range of services, including catalog management, creative services, and client relations.

Meanwhile, MIME is a Black-owned, full-service entertainment group dedicated to re-establishing Memphis as a music industry hub while promoting diverse talent. Founded in 2015, MIME encompasses MIME Publishing, Heavy Hitters Music (film/TV/ad sync), Beatroot Music (artist empowerment/distribution), and 4U Recording (recording studios).

The first joint project between the two was a five-day songwriting camp in May at MIME’s 4U Recording studio in Memphis. FL Studio, a digital audio workstation, also partnered with the camp, offering support and products to participants. This session provided a platform for artists from both companies to collaborate, experiment, and create music that reflects their diverse backgrounds.

Rimas Publishing’s participating artists included Cheo Legendary, David B, Fly Twilightzone (collectively known as Nostra), Dirrty, and Yung Boi. From MIME’s roster, artists included Alexander Buehler, Aleza, ATM Richbaby, Blokka, Canti, DJ Bangout, FCB Biggie, FCB CMoney, Koly P, Nico, Ninja Mane, Pooh Cash, Ramone, Real Red, Sleepy Knockz, T Head, T Perc, and Tp.

“We are thrilled to embark on this visionary partnership with Made in Memphis Entertainment, ushering in a new era of creative expansion for our clients,” said Emilio Morales, Managing Director of Rimas Publishing.
