Sam Taylor joins Kobalt as SVP, Creative in Los Angeles

Sam Taylor has joined Kobalt as Senior Vice President, Creative.

Taylor will report directly to Sas Metcalfe, Global President of Creative and Sue Drew, GM Creative and Acquisitions.

In his role, Taylor (pictured) is charged with signing new and established talent and identifying publishing partners. He will also contribute to the management of the creative roster.

Taylor has worked at Atlantic Records, Elektra Records, Warner/Chappell Music Publishing and most recently at Sony/ATV and EMI where he signed and worked with Pharrell Williams, Schoolboy Q, Sounwave (Kendrick Lamar), FKi (Post Malone, 2 Chainz), Dahi (Big Sean), Sam Dew and many others.

He was also the catalyst for putting together the GRAMMY nominated Song of the Year, “Alright,” by Kendrick Lamar (produced by Pharrell and Sounwave).
