Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears will release his self-titled debut solo album on August 10 through his own label, Freida Jean Records, via UK-based Absolute Label Services.
Shears’ deal with Absolute will see the label services company provide sales, marketing, distribution and more in support of the album.

They also have nine Top 20 UK singles including 2006’s chart-topper I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’.
This is Shears’ (pictured) first full-length work since 2012, when the band went on hiatus.
Written over two years, the initial ideas for Shears’ were recorded in New Orleans’ Marigny Studios, before before being recorded in Louisville, Kentucky with Kevin Ratterman (Ray LaMontagne, My Morning Jacket) at his La La Land studio.
Dates for a UK tour have also been announced, with Shears visiting London, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow and more from August 15 to August 24.
