UK-based independent online music publisher Sentric Music has made several recruitments throughout its business including former BBC Radio 1 presenter Ally McCrae who will handle A&R & Strategic Development within the company.
McCrae’s role will consist of targeting new talent for Sentric, developing existing songwriters and bringing in various opportunities throughout the music industry to be presented to Sentric’s user-base.
McCrae will also be responsible for commercial partnerships across Sentric’s European offices.
Director of Music Services at Sentric, Simon Pursehouse, said: “We’re utterly delighted to add Ally to the team here. Alongside managing Prides (signed to Island Records) he was able to see how Sentric works from the user perspective which has given him a deep understanding of who we are and what we’re aiming to achieve.
“Also, with his previous work at BBC Introducing he has consistently shown his expert knowledge of the emerging music market and I’m excited to see what opportunities he can generate for the business.”
McCrae added: “I’m really bloody chuffed to be working with Sentric, a company I’ve respected and worked with for years. They offer something truly unique to the industry and the root of it, is a company full of people who genuinely give a crap about the artists and their careers. Sentric can, and has, helped out some amazing acts at crucial points in their careers, something that I’m well excited to be involved with.”
As well as McCrae’s appointment, Sentric have recruited several new members of staff to work across Administration, Sync and Software Development.
Chris Meehan, CEO of Sentric Music adds; “We welcome all of our new hires across our office base as we continue to experience strong growth across Europe and beyond.
“Bringing on more experience within our team and introducing the experience of Ally will further benefit our songwriters.”Music Business Worldwide
