Sony Music Publishing (SMP) UK has appointed Shauni Caballero as Senior A&R Manager.
Since joining Sony in May, Caballero has signed artists including breakthrough rap star Central Cee, rapper Russ Millions, and Nemzzz, one of the UK’s new up-and-coming rappers, Sony Music Publishing said in a press release announcing Caballero’s appointment on Monday (November 14).
In her new role, Caballero will be based in the company’s London office where she will be tasked with supporting and developing SMP songwriters and help the brand accelerate its collaboration efforts and develop new opportunities across the global roster.

Commenting on her appointment at SMP, Caballero, said: “I’m honored to join Sony Music Publishing, I couldn’t wish for a better and more supportive team. In addition to her new appointment, Caballero said on her LinkedIn page that her company The Go 2 Agency “will now be administered by Sony Publishing too.”
The appointment comes as SMP UK continues to grow its roster of artists and creatives.
In May, the company signed singer-songwriter Kal Lavelle, who co-wrote Ed Sheeran’s No.1 hit Shivers, to a worldwide publishing deal. Its recent signings over the past couple of years also include South London-born songwriter and producer Ben Jackson-Cook, and Scottish alternative rock band Del Amitri.
In January, the company formed a publishing venture called Second Songs with renowned creative music executives Caroline Elleray and Mark Gale, who were previously senior figures within Universal Music Publishing UK A&R team.
