Sony Music Entertainment Germany has invested in the independent hip hop record label Ragucci & Boldt and live booking agency Ibrahim & Boldt.
Founded in Berlin by music manager Ronny Boldt and rapper RAF Camora (aka Raphael Ragucci), Ragucci & Boldt has worked with a number of producers including TheCratez, as well as artists including Bonez MC, 187 Strassenbande, Ufo361, KC Rebell, Trailerpark, Alligatoah and more.
Founded by co-MDs Ronny Boldt and Massimo Ibrahim in Berlin, Ibrahim & Boldt operates in live promotion, booking and ticketing.
Through its new partnership, Sony Music says that its artists will have access to expertise from Boldt’s artist support services including A&R, marketing, artist management, booking and live opportunities.
Artists managed by Ronny Boldt will also have access to Sony Music’s global network and marketing, “as well as the potential for new collaborations with its global repertoire”, according to Sony.
The live booking company works with artists including Shindy, Loredana, and Bonez MC & RAF Camora.
The investment in Ragucci & Boldt and Ibrahim & Boldt comes almost exactly two years after Sony made a “major hip-hop move in Germany” by inking a partnership deal to distribute the entire catalog of two independent labels – Selfmade and Division.
