Jason Wade, the lead vocalist and songwriter in multi-platinum-selling band Lifehouse, has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ATV.
The Los Angeles group scored a Billboard Hot 100 Single of the Year with their breakthrough hit “Hanging By A Moment” and went on to achieve 10 Top 20 hits on the U.S. Hot AC chart, all written or co-written by Wade.
They have sold more than 15 million records worldwide.
Wade’s agreement with Sony/ATV will see him write for other artists as well as collaborate with other top songwriters.
Sony ATV Co-President, U.S. Rick Krim said: “I have known Jason since the release of Lifehouse’s debut album and have always been a great admirer of his immense songwriting talent.

Jason Wade’s manager Jude Cole said: “Jason is a gifted and prolific writer who’s been touring and supporting his own hit songs since he was 18 years old.
“This is a new chapter for an artist who could never be satisfied running on the fumes of his past. I know he’s thrilled to be working with Rick and the whole Sony/ATV team and I expect great things to come from this partnership.”

Lifehouse broke through in 2001 with their debut, Wade-penned single “Hanging By A Moment”, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. and topped the Alternative, Adult Top 40 and Radio Songs charts.
It was included on the band’s introductory album No Name Face, which was certified for double-platinum sales in the U.S.
The group’s next album Stanley Climbfall sold more than 1 million copies just in the States and was followed into the Top 10 by the studio set Lifehouse, which included the top five pop hit and AC No. 1 “You And Me”.
Between them, the group’s fourth and fifth albums Who We Are and Smoke & Mirrors, included the Top 10 songs “First Time”, “Whatever It Takes”, “Broken”, “Halfway Gone” and “All In”.
Lifehouse’s sixth album Almería included a duet with Natasha Bedingfield and a guest appearance from songwriter and vocalist Peter Frampton, while their most recent album Out Of The Wasteland was released in May last year and debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Independent Albums chart.Music Business Worldwide
