Spotify is returning as a sponsor for this year’s A&R Awards, putting its name to the prestigious Contemporary Black Music category.
The UK music industry’s most enjoyable night out will take place on Tuesday, November 8, at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms in celebration of the best execs, tracks and creatives from the last 12 months and of all time.
Safiya Lambie-Knight, Head of Music at Spotify UK/IE said: “We’re incredibly proud to support this fiercely competitive category at the A&R Awards again. Contemporary Black music continues to make waves globally and is such a vital part of reflecting British culture.
“We’ve seen brilliant talent emerge year after year, and it’s in large part thanks to the skills and passion from the A&R community that we get to witness UK hip-hop grow and see talented artists get the recognition they deserve.”
A very limited number of tables are still available for the 2022 Awards via Rebecca@musicbizworldwide.com – but they won’t be for long.
Other categories at the UK-focused 2022 event will include Producer of The Year, Songwriter of the Year, A&R of the Year: Adult Contemporary, A&R Administrator, A&R Of The Year: Electronic/Dance, Major Label of The Year, Independent Label of The Year, Publisher of the Year (Sponsored by Milk & Honey) and Management Company.
The headline sponsor of the A&R Awards is, as always, Abbey Road Studios.Music Business Worldwide
