Q&A

Record Label, Distributor

Q&A is a distribution, services, and technology company founded by Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo in 2019.

The company launched as part of a merger with fellow co-founder J.Erving and his firm, Human Resources.

Q&A and Erving later sold Human Resources to Sony Music / the Orchard, with Erving moving inside the major music company in an EVP role as a result.

Q&A has worked with independent artists such as Pink Sweat$ and Baby Rose.

In December 2020, Q&A launched Venice Innovation Labs, a new internal tech innovation division.

The first two products unveiled by Venice were StreamRate and Venice For Labels.

According to Q&A, StreamRate is a mobile app that “gives sentiment analysis before songs are released, saving labels millions of dollars in marketing expenses and marrying data with A&R”.

Venice For Labels enables labels to “distribute music, manage their artist roster, and track splits & payments” all in one place.Music Business Worldwide
