The Orchard has promoted Chris Manning to General Manager of the company’s business in the United Kingdom and Europe.
In his new role, Manning will manage all day-to-day operations of The Orchard’s European efforts, working with the Managing Directors of each territory to ensure that sales and marketing operations and communications are in sync across the continent.
In his decade-long tenure with The Orchard which started after joining from 7digital, Manning has worked in all areas of the company’s business.
In sales and label management, he led efforts on releases from artists such as Carl Cox, Riva Starr, John Dalhback, Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundel, Steve Aoki, Roger Sanchez, and Wretch 32.
During his time working in business development, Manning formed relationships and represented The Orchard’s interests with both major and developing digital retailers.
He also managed local and international operations, strengthening The Orchard’s global reach and playing a major role in the merger of Red Essential into The Orchard UK.
