Ticketmaster Germany has been appointed as the official ticketing services provider for the 12,650 capacity König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen.
Starting this month, the multi-year agreement will see Ticketmaster serve as the primary ticketing supplier for the SMG-run venue, managing sales through the Arena’s own website, phone hotline and box office, as well as Ticketmaster’s own channels.
The news comes four months after Ticketmaster significantly expanded its operations in Germany via a partnership with nationwide venue owners Mehr! Entertainment and Eintrittskarten.de.
The firm is clearly enjoying its new freedom to expand in Germany a-year-and-a-half after parent company Live Nation was cleared of any liability for cancelling Ticketmaster’s contract with CTS Eventim in 2010.
Ticketmaster Germany, which launched in the country in 2011, now serves more than 700 venues, sports teams and event organisers. It has offices in Berlin and Hamburg, as well as presence in Frankfurt and Munich.
