Independent music company [PIAS] has appointed Tom Hoare as UK Head of Digital.
Hoare, whose appointment is effective immediately, rejoins [PIAS] from Syco Music where he was Head of Digital.
He previously held the position of Digital Channel Manager at [PIAS] before leaving in 2015 to become Senior Digital Marketing Manager at Polydor Records, where he led digital campaigns for the likes of The 1975, HAIM, Michael Kiwanuka and Elbow.
He then moved into the film industry with a role as Head Of Digital for Universal Pictures before returning to music with Sony Music’s Syco label.
Reporting directly to [PIAS] UK Managing Director Jason Rackham Hoare will have overall responsibility for the strategy, direction and management of [PIAS]’s UK labels’ digital activities.
This will encompass digital marketing, social media and the exploitation of the company’s audio and audio-visual recordings through commercial digital music platforms focusing on [PIAS] label group’s Recordings and Cooperative repertoire.
