Tommy Page, former Billboard and Warner Bros exec, dies aged 46

Tommy Page, both a well-established industry executive and chart-topping artist, died on Friday (March 3). He was 46.

Page’s music business CV included a long run at Warner Bros Records / Reprise Records, which he joined in 1997.

Having graduated from NYU’s Stern School of Business, Page rose up the ranks at Warner Bros to become VP of of Top 40 Promotion, working with the likes of Michael Buble and Josh Groban.

In 2011, Page became Associate Publisher of industry magazine Billboard in New York, and was promoted to Publisher a year later.

He joined Pandora in 2013 as VP of Artist & Brand Partnerships, before leaving in 2015 to become SVP of Brand Partnerships at Cumulus Media.

As an artist, Page was signed to Sire Records, where he released three albums. His No.1 US single, I’ll Be Your Everything, was released in April 1990.

Page  is survived by his husband, Charlie, and their three children.

A spokesperson for the family said: “It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our beloved Tommy Page who passed away this weekend.

“Tommy was a devoted father, husband, brother and son. He was loved by all of those he touched and will be sorely missed. Please respect our privacy at this time of deep sorrow.”
