LyricFind, a lyric licensing and data services company, has partnered with Tuned Global, a B2B music and streaming platform, to provide the latter’s customers with more access to lyrics and associated data on their streaming platforms.
The collaboration will extend LyricFind‘s products to a broader network of music and media services globally where Tuned Global has partnerships.
The partnership comes as Tuned Global focuses on the role that lyrics play in bolstering user retention and engagement within streaming applications.
Australia-headquartered Tuned Global helps other companies launch and run their own music streaming services. It has previously worked on custom streaming apps for companies like Warner Music Group on a custom Ed Sheeran app, mixed marital arts brand UFC for its UFC Ultimate Sounds app, and Universal Music Group and Pizza Hut.
Recent partnerships include the launch of a music streaming platform for Sona, a Los Angeles-based Web3 streaming protocol founded by Jennifer Lee (aka producer and DJ TOKiMONSTA) in December, as well as a streaming app for Africa’s Jumamo in November. Last May, Tuned Global partnered with Revelator, a digital IP infrastructure provider for music, to integrate NFTs into music streaming platforms.
Now, Tuned Global aims to capitalize on the demand for lyrics to enrich streaming content. The company highlighted a 2017 MIDiA Research study, which found that 81% of those who search for lyrics do so because they want to know the words.
Lyrics not only offer valuable data for users to match songs with moods or activities but also serve as a resource for curators to delve into their catalogs, according to a press release announcing the deal with Canada’s LyricFind on Friday (January 26).
The partnership will allow Tuned Global’s clients to integrate LyricFind into their services upon joining Tuned Global, gaining access to lyric-based tools through APIs or turnkey applications.
The integration enables the display of lyrics in multiple languages, allowing users to explore catalogs and curate thematic playlists or other content. Additionally, the Tuned Global platform incorporates LyricFind’s LyricIQ, a content analysis engine that facilitates the filtering of lyrics and tracks based on mood, subject matter, and age appropriateness, among other parameters.
Gabb Music, a kid-friendly music service by Gabb Wireless, successfully implemented an integration of LyricFind with Tuned Global even ahead of this new collaboration. Tuned Global partnered with Gabb Music in June 2022. Touted as the “world’s safest music catalog for families and young listeners,” Gabb Music uses Tuned Global’s platform to deliver a cleared music catalog, including LyricFind’s song IDs.
“LyricFind will give our clients and their users many more ways to find and fall in love with music. We are excited that thanks to this integration, clients can improve their engagement by simply opting in.”

“Our shared goal is to establish stronger and more meaningful connections between musicians and their followers. This collaboration will help us achieve that objective by leveraging our platforms’ lyric offerings and groundbreaking technological advancements.”

The news arrives over a month after LyricFind acquired Belfast-based Rotor Videos, supporting its recent push into the video creation market. LyricFind also recently partnered with CD Baby, an independent music distributor owned by Downtown Music Holdings, to launch integrations of both the Rotor Videos tool and LyricFind’s Lyric Video Enterprise solution.
LyricFind has access to more than 100,000 catalogs and over 10 million song lyrics. The company has partnerships with platforms such as TikTok, Amazon, Google, Xperi, YouTube, Deezer, Pandora, and others.
