Music and technology platform Venice Music has unveiled an artificial intelligence-powered assistant to assist artists in their music careers.
The tool, called Co-Manager, is currently in beta. It provides guidance and personalized data to deliver insights and recommendations to artists, Venice Music said Tuesday (April 2).
Venice Music was founded by music industry veterans and Q&A co-founders Troy Carter and Suzy Ryoo. Carter is best known for managing global music icons like Lady Gaga and John Legend at his company Atom Factory. He also served as Head of Creator Services at Spotify.
Ryoo, meanwhile, contributes her venture capital expertise to Venice Music having served as Venture Partner at Atom Factory (investments included Thrive Market, Gimlet Media (acq: Spotify), Truebill (acq: Rocket Money & Liquid Death).
Venice Music provides resources and technologies to musicians to help them build their fanbase. Members retain full ownership of their music while gaining access to sync placement submissions, insights from industry leaders, and a private community.
“We created a tool that allows every artist in the world access to personalized guidance. Having a day-to-day manager is finally democratized.”

Co-Manager, their new offering, combines insights from top managers, marketers, and data analysts with OpenAI machine learning with artists’ streaming data.
Venice says that it analyzes metadata, streaming numbers, listener behavior, and revenue information to generate custom release strategies, identify promotional opportunities, and track the performance of music distributed via Venice Music.
Artists can ask Co-Manager for help with tasks like crafting a release strategy, finding relevant playlists they could pitch their music to, boosting their YouTube channel, developing a paid ad strategy, and accessing vital information such as ISRC, earnings, or other links.
The new tool complements existing Venice Music features like responding to sync briefs, music distribution, A&R feedback, and more.
Co-Manager is accessible with the Venice Pro Membership that costs $500 per year. The Pro Membership offers more benefits including unlimited music and video distribution, sync licensing, a private community of artists, exclusive events, and concierge support, says Venice Music.
“Co-Manager is designed to educate artists on the business & marketing of music, so artists can spend more time focused on their creative vision.”

The company started offering three new subscription tiers, including the Pro membership in September 2022.
“For today’s artists, wearing multiple hats isn’t just common; it’s necessary. We created a tool that allows every artist in the world access to personalized guidance. Having a day-to-day manager is finally democratized,” said Troy Carter, Venice Music Co-Founder and CEO.
Suzy Ryoo, Co-Founder and President, Venice Music, highlighted that Co-Manager seeks to “empower” artists and not replace them.
“AI will undoubtedly change how we work and live every day. That said, music never dies, and human artistry is irreplaceable. Co-Manager is designed to educate artists on the business & marketing of music, so artists can spend more time focused on their creative vision.”
Prior to venturing into AI, Venice Music expanded into Web3 nearly two years ago with the launch of an NFT-gated project called the Venice Music Collective.
This provided artists with access to a physical space in Los Angeles called Venice House, which features recording studios and a pool.
