Vevo has promotedJP Evangelista to Head of Content & Programming, based in New York.
Evangelista will oversee Vevo’s music programming, original content, production, editorial, talent, events and label relations teams globally.
He will also work closely with artists, managers, major and indie record labels to secure, schedule and promote music videos, exclusive premieres, live events and other original programming across the Vevo platform.

The exec succeeds Tom Connaughton in the Head of Content & Programming position.
MBW recently revealed that Connaughton was returning to his native UK to become Spotify’s Head of Artist & Label Marketing in the territory.
Prior to working at Vevo, Evangelista held various positions in the eLabs and Global Digital Initiatives departments of Universal Music Group.
During this time, the exec was one of several members of the UMG eLabs group chosen and tasked with building out the Vevo platform and helping launch the company.
He has been with Vevo since inception, working for the music and talent team in New York.Music Business Worldwide
