US subscription TV network Hulu has added six new channels to its Live TV service from music video platform Vevo.
In a statement provided to MBW, Vevo’s President of Sales and Distribution Kevin McGurn said that its new partnership with Hulu “continues to put music videos back in the living room”.
He added: “Our TV network expansion is key to help us continue on our mission of growing the promotional and commercial value of the music video.”
The launch on Hulu is being included in the roll-out of 14 new channels to the network’s Live TV line-up including Hallmark Channel, The Weather Channel, TheGrio Television Network, Comedy.TV.
Last week, it was announced the streamer’s live TV service grew to 4.4 million total subscribers, representing 10% YoY growth.
Starting December 1, the Vevo channels set to launch on Hulu include:
Vevo Pop, which according to Vevo, “features 24/7 programming of the latest top charting music videos from the biggest Pop artists”.
Vevo Hip-Hop, meanwhile, will be “curated by Vevo’s in-house experts,” and will showcase the best music videos “from trap to rap, including artists such as Lil Baby, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and more”.
Elsewhere, Vevo Country will play music videos from Country artists like Luke Combs to Miranda Lambert and Kane Brown.
Vevo ‘80s, according to Vevo will play videos from the 1980s, from artists like “Bon Jovi, to Whitney Houston, to Cyndi Lauper and more”.
Vevo ‘90s will feature artists including Nirvana, Mariah Carey, TLC, Backstreet Boys, and more.
Vevo Holiday will feature curated, 24-hour programming ranging from traditional Christmas music to newer Holiday hits.
