Vivendi-owned, UK-born ticketing firm See Tickets has acquired Switzerland’s Starticket from TX Group.
Established in 2003, Starticket works with over 750 event promoters and sells over 5 million tickets annually.
As a result of the acquisition, See Tickets now sells close to 30m tickets annually.
See Tickets serves some 10,000 promoters, festivals, performance venues, sporting events and monuments including Glastonbury Festival, the Château de Versailles, L’Olympia in Paris, Garorock, Tomorrowland, White Oak Music Hall, Electric Zoo Festival, Los Angeles Pride Festival and The Queen Mary.
The company handled 2.4 million people connecting in 34 minutes to try and buy the 135,000 tickets available for Glastonbury 2020 on October 6, 2019.
Vivendi acquired See Tickets for a purchase price of approximately €96m in September 2011.
