Irv Gotti has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music.
Effective immediately, Warner/Chappell will administer all of the legendary music executive/producer/songwriter’s future material.
Gotti’s new deal with Warner/Chappell includes the score music he has written for the hit BET drama series, Tales.
Created by Gotti, and produced by his VISIONARY IDEAS ENTERTAINMENT, Tales is a scripted anthology series that weaves hip-hop songs into narrative stories.
The founder of Murder Inc. Records, Irv Gotti’s numerous producing/writing credits include songs for artists such as Jay-Z, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Foxy Brown, Eve, and Vanessa Carlton.
“Irv is an amazing music person and entrepreneur, and the force behind a string of game-changing records,” said Jon Platt, Chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell.
“Irv’s impressive talents have often gone unrecognized, but there is no doubt that he has some of the best ears in the business. Irv and I been great friends for years, so it’s a thrill to welcome him into the Warner/Chappell family.”

Irv Gotti worked with Jennifer Lopez on “I’m Real,” and “Ain’t it Funny,” as well as Fat Joe on “What’s Luv.”
He is responsible for signing DMX to Def Jam and worked to produce his first three albums.
Gotti’s work with Ashanti earned him a Grammy Award for her self-titled debut album as well as a nomination for “Rock Wit U (Awww Baby).”
