Interactive album app company Disciple Media has signed a deal with BandPage, which enables musicians to sell to hundreds of millions of fans around the globe.
As a result, artists who sign with Disciple will benefit from BandPage’s partnerships – including Spotify, Shazam, Rhapsody, VEVO, Napster, iHeartRadio, Rdio, Xbox Music, LyricFind and more.
Disciple Media and BandPage promise ‘innovative marketing campaigns’ involving artists, which target “super fans” based on user interaction and behaviour on various music platforms.
Disciple Media recently announced that Rudimental (pictured) had signed up for the interactive app treatment, while other artists it has worked with include Rufus Wainwright and Luke Bryan.
Users of Bandpage will be encouraged to purchase one of Disciple’s apps for artists who have created one.
Campaigns will include targeted notifications through BandPage’s recently announced data partnership with Rhapsody as well as other targeted communications such as audio ads directly from musicians to their fans, targeted emails and more.
