Music streaming and discovery platform Audiomack’s Creator App has hit the 1 million installation milestone.
Audiomack launched its Creator App in February 2022, giving musicians access to a range of detailed metrics including fans’ listening habits, geographical markets where they receive the highest streaming engagement, identify tastemakers that are supporting their music, and assess long-term growth.
The app “is designed to maximize access for everyone sharing audio, from artists to podcasters and beyond, no matter their means or where they’re from,” Audiomack VP of Product Charlie Kaplan said at the time of launch.
Over a year since the app’s launch, it now reached over 1 million installations and 1.7 million uploads, ranking, according to Audiomack, as a Top 10 iOS music app in Nigeria.
Audiomack reports that weekly direct uploads via the app have risen 31%, with a range of 65,000 to 75,000 uploads every week.
As of the end of March, the app witnessed a 65% surge in Creator uploads and a 61% growth in unique uploaders., according to the company.
About 40% of the app’s users share or upload a song each month, and 86% of users who initiate an upload complete it within seven days.
“With the launch of the Creator app, we aim to empower these artists who increasingly create and store their music on their phones. Our goal is to provide world-class mobile tools to help them build audiences and careers in music.”

Audiomack has also unveiled a new tool called the ‘Promote Tab,’ which lets artists upload music, analyze streaming data, promote content, and receive direct payments.
Through the Promote Tab feature, artists are able to save, share, and copy links for their releases and profiles, as well as get embed codes.
The new feature marks Audiomack’s latest offering to artists after the company rolled out its ‘Premiere Access’ feature in August, enabling artists to reward their biggest fans with early access to not-yet-officially-released music.
“As technology advances, the needs of our base of young, international artists are constantly evolving,” Kaplan said.
“With the launch of the Creator app, we aim to empower these artists who increasingly create and store their music on their phones. Our goal is to provide world-class mobile tools to help them build audiences and careers in music.”
“The app leverages Audiomack’s unique strengths, such as direct upload and unlimited free storage, to support artists throughout all stages of their career lifecycle. With its ad-tier playback, in-depth analytics, and no-fee monetization features, the Creator app is designed to be an all-in-one platform for artists to generate revenue and grow their audience,” Kaplan added.
Less than a year ago, Audiomack expanded its licensing deal with Universal Music Group, covering Africa, the UK and Canada. The latest deal makes Audiomack available to users in 16 African countries.
Audiomack also has existing partnerships with Distrokid and Warner Music Group.
