Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jelly Roll has extended his current label partnership with BBR Music Group (BBRMG), BBRMG imprint Stoney Creek Records, and BMG music publishing.
Simultaneously, BMG has entered into a worldwide deal with Republic Records for Jelly Roll.
The partnership was announced by Jon Loba, BMG President, Frontline Recordings, The Americas and REPUBLIC Founder and Chairman Monte Lipman.
BMG and Republic Records are set to release Jelly Roll’s forthcoming album later this year.
According to the announcement, the alliance is “focused on maximizing Jelly Roll’s impact across multiple genres with an expansion of marketing into new territories”.
The first single off the new project, I Am Not OK, premiers globally today (June 12).
First signed to BBR Music Group imprint Stoney Creek Records in 2021, Jelly Roll has won CMA New Artist of the Year as the most nominated male artist of the night, iHeart New Artist of the Year (Country) and New Artist of the Year (Pop) as well as numerous People’s Choice and People’s Choice Awards wins.
He earned two Grammy nominations in 2024, one for Best New Artist and Country Duo/Group Performance, following the release of his Country debut project, Whitsitt Chapel.
Most recently, he earned four ACM nominations including the top award of the night, Entertainer of the Year, marking the first time since 1992 an artist has been nominated for EOY as a first-time nominee, and won his first ACM award for Musical Event of the Year for his breakthrough anthem, Save Me.
The announcement about BMG’s partnership with Republic Records followed the news on Monday (June 10), that BMG has revamped its US Frontline Recorded organizational structure in line with what it calls its newly implemented ‘BMG Next’ strategy.
Jon Loba, formerly President, Frontline Recordings, BMG North America, has assumed the role of President of Frontline Recordings, The Americas.
Loba will now oversee operations across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, leading a team of executives based in Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and other key locations.
The reorganized label group will manage new music releases across Pop, Rock, R&B/Hip-Hop, Country, and Latin.
