Brett Yormark has been promoted to COO of Roc Nation.
In the role, Yormark will provide leadership and strategic vision across Roc Nation verticals, while continuing to develop and execute long-term organizational objectives to support the company’s growth.
Brett Yormark will continue to lead Roc Nation Unified alongside Co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified, Michael Yormark.
Roc Nation Unified was launched in 2020, and was established to “identify, develop, market and implement global licensing and brand opportunities for Roc Nation,” the company said at the time.
Since then, the Jay-Z-founded entertainment company has launched a brand and multimedia platform, titled EDITION by Modern Luxury, and made moves into VR by purchasing an undisclosed number of ‘SENSO tokens’.
SENSO tokens are the in-platform, Ethereum-based currency of Sensorium Galaxy, a social VR platform owned by $100 million-backed Sensorium Corporation.
Brett Yormark joined Roc Nation in 2019 as co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified and President of Business Operations & Strategy.
During that time, he’s been responsible for initiatives with numerous partners including, American Greetings, Modern Luxury (EDITION), US Open and LIU, establishing Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment.
Before joining Roc Nation, Brett had a nearly 15-year history of collaborating with the company during his tenure as CEO of BSE Global.
This, says Roc Nation, was a relationship that saw the “transformational rebranding” of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, the opening and content development of Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and, most recently, the reopening of the Manhattan venue, Webster Hall.
