BMG Italy has inked a sub-publishing deal for Italy with Burt Bacharach.
Bacharach has won three Academy and eight Grammy Awards for hits like “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head”, “That’s What Friends Are For”, and “What The World Needs Now.”
Artists who have recorded his music during a 50-year career include The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, and Aretha Franklin.
Bacharach was awarded a Grammy for his Broadway musical ‘Promises, Promises’. He was proclaimed music’s ‘Greatest Living Composer’ for his 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award. Bacharach received the nation’s highest prize for popular song in 2012.
Bacharach plans to release his memoir in the spring of 2013, and to write with Elvis Costello for a Broadway production scripted by Mike Meyers.
