MUSO monitors online piracy in the entertainment industry, gathering data on billions of copyright infringements.
The company processes this data for clients, including record companies, to deliver a better understanding of digital piracy trends.
MUSO was founded in 2009 by Grammy-nominated music producer Andy Chatterley. Headquartered in London, the company also runs offices in Paris, Los Angeles, and Eastern Europe.
MUSO’s software tracks piracy activity across 196 countries globally.
In April 2019, MUSO raised GBP £3.5 million, in an extension to its £2.5 million 2017 Series A with Harwell Capital.
The firm said the investment would be used to expand its sales and marketing and increase its foothold in the digital media, gaming and live broadcast sectors.Music Business Worldwide
