HYBE’s WeVerse platform is one of the most prominent ‘superfan’ services operating in the global music business today.
WeVerse quickly gained a vast audience after launch via BTS. The HYBE-signed boyband has posted exclusive content on WeVerse, plus other fan benefits, since launch.
(The conscription of BTS members into the South Korea army is a key reason for the dip in WeVerse users in Q4 2023.)
However, WeVerse has remained strong.
In March 2024, Universal Music Group invested in WeVerse, a subsidiary of HYBE.
The platform, which combines exclusive content, ticketing, merch sales, music streaming and more, has since been steadily growing its presence in the US and other key international markets.
