Spotify‘s Loud & Clear website is a treasure trove of data about the popularity – and the royalty earnings – of tracks and artists on the platform.
The platform allows users to assess how many artists and/or tracks have exceeded certain listenership thresholds.
Below you can see annual data for how many Spotify artists have surpassed a certain number of monthly listeners. (Please note, these are not segmented, i.e. the number of artists who have more than 500,000 monthly listeners will also be counted in the number of artists with over 1m monthly listeners etc.)
Loud & Clear uses data from the previous year to its update; for example, the 2024 version of Loud & Clear is based on full-year data from 2023.
