These results reveal several key metrics about both companies.
One of these metrics is comparable: the number of people around the world paying for a Premium subscription (Spotify) or a ‘membership’ (Netflix).
Netflix’s ‘membership’ figure is set to be retired in 2024, and does not include those customers paying a lower fee for ad-supported access to its service.
