Deezer has hired Roman Tagoe, who is currently Head of Digital Content at Time Out London.
Tagoe (pictured) joins the streaming company in the newly-created role of Head of Content and Editorial for Deezer UK & Ireland.
He will be responsible for leading its content strategy, managing the editorial team across all content areas (music, talk, live) as well as partnerships & rights management.
Christian Harris VP of Deezer for Northern Europe said “We couldn’t be more excited to have Roman on board.
“He is joining us at a time of unprecedented growth in this market to help us define and enhance our offering across music, talk and live events. Roman brings a unique skill set to Deezer which will help differentiate our offering even further.”
As MBW reports elsewhere tonight, Deezer is now ‘exclusively controlled’ by Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries – the owner of Warner Music Group.
The US company’s US boss Tyler Goldman recently left to join vape company PAX Labs.
It subsequently appointed Jorge Rincon as Vice President of North America and Phil Moore as Vice President of Southern Europe and MEA. Music Business Worldwide
