Toronto-based indie OVO Sound has expanded its expanded label relationship with Warner Bros. Records.
The deal includes distribution for artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, dvsn, and Roy Woods.
As a result of the expansion, OVO Sound executive Mr. Morgan will be located in the New York office of Warner Bros. Records.
OVO Sound is a record label founded by Aubrey Drake Graham (aka Drake) and long-time friends and partners Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib. The label is based in Toronto, Ontario.
PARTYNEXTDOOR recently released his album PARTYNEXTDOOR 3 (P3), which featured the hit single “Not Nice” and the gold single “Come and See Me” (Feat. Drake), garnering a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song.
Majid Jordan’s first song from their upcoming album, “Phases,” was released on April 28th. This follows their self-titled debut studio album and debut EP, A Place Like This.
dvsn (pictured) is scheduled to release new music in May. Their debut album, Sept. 5th was released to critical acclaim in early 2016.
Roy Woods is currently in the studio finishing his debut album, due out later this year.Music Business Worldwide
