Emily Thorpe-Jones named Head of Brands and Corporate at Various Artists Management

Various Artists Management has appointed Emily Thorpe-Jones as Head of Brands & Corporate.

Reporting jointly to Group CEO David Bianchi and Matt Luxon, CEO of Various Artists Management USA, Thorpe-Jones will divide her time between the group’s London and Los Angeles offices.

The company established its Los Angeles base in January 2022, boosting its presence in the United States.

Thorpe-Jones has had 10 years of experience working in media, starting her career in Radio PR before venturing into publishing. She worked on the promotions and partnerships teams at the Evening Standard, ES Magazine, and The Independent. 

She also served as an Agency Director at Hearst, where she facilitated print and digital partnerships across titles like Elle, Esquire, Digital Spy, and Cosmopolitan.

In addition to media sales, Thorpe-Jones has also been engaged in nurturing new talent by curating and producing a radio show on Hoxton FM. She also DJ’d at indie club nights in London and presented ‘London Live sessions,’ an in-studio music show on the TV channel London Live.

In her new role at Various Artists Management, Thorpe-Jones will be working alongside the company’s senior management team across Various Artists and 23 Recordings rosters. Her responsibilities include the management of brand partnerships, commercial ventures, and corporate live bookings.

Thorpe-Jones’ appointment marks the latest in Various Artists Management’s string of recent hires including Kirsty McDonagh, who was named Senior Manager in May and Joe Etchells, appointed as Head of A&R and Artist Development in March.

Various Artists Management’s roster of clients includes Tom Grennan, Ashnikko, Melanie C, La Roux, Sad Night Dynamite, Yonaka, The Libertines, Supergrass and Cassyette, among others.
