Entertainment One (eOne) has promoted Michael Olsen to Executive Vice President, Operations and Business & Legal Affairs, Music.
In his expanded role, Olsen will oversee operations as well as business and legal affairs across eOne’s Music division on a global basis and will continue to work alongside Michael Healy, Executive Vice President Finance/General Manager, Music.
Since joining eOne in 2010, Olsen has served in a number of capacities including SVP, Business Development where he was responsible for the new business activities across music.
He was also responsible for leading eOne’s Nashville labels, the acquisition of Dualtone Music Group in 2016, forging the strategic relationship with Hardlivings and Nerve artist management companies, charting the transition of eOne’s physical distribution to Warner ADA in North America and SPV in Europe, as well as the worldwide publishing administration partnership with Ole Media Management, among other key initiatives.

Prior to eOne, Olsen served as CEO at indie music labels Sheridan Square Entertainment, Artemis Records, V2 Records and the Indieblu Music Group.
Olsen has overseen multiple Grammy winning or nominated projects by artists including Lalah Hathaway, Erica Campbell, William McDowell and Donald Lawrence as well as projects by the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, Moby, Black Label Society, Joan Osborne, Merle Haggard, George Clinton, Peter Cetera, Kansas and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Before that, Olsen was VP/GM of the Denver Symphony Orchestra. Outside the industry, Olsen has served in various senior business and legal affairs capacities across multiple categories.
The appointment is effective immediately. Olsen continues to be based in eOne’s Nashville office and reports to Taylor.Music Business Worldwide
