Vevo has hired Joseph Patel as Vice President of Original Content in its New York office.
Patel most recently served as Vice President of Content + Creative at The FADER, where he executive produced a content slate that included documentaries, scripted shorts, music videos, festival livestreams and social media.
In his new role at Vevo Joseph will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of the company’s original programming – a key component of its strategy going into 2017.

In his time with The FADER, Joseph and his team increased traffic by 380% and increased video views for original and co-branded content by nearly 700%.
Prior to joining The FADER, he held leadership roles in content and programming at MTV News and Vice Media, where he supervised TV franchises for MTV and HBO.
Vevo draws over 18 billion monthly views globally to its platform, primarily through its relationship with YouTube.
Vevo was recently rumoured to be seeking to raise $500m, partly to fund its original content initiatives.Music Business Worldwide
