The former COO of Three Six Zero Group, British exec James Sealey, has joined artist-to-fan company Bkstg as SVP of Business Development and Head of Music.
What’s Bkstg? In a nutshell, a social hub for artists to deliver exclusive trinkets and keep up a direct dialogue with fans.
Sealey will oversee all global partnerships, integrations, and artist development at the business’s Los Angeles office.
His former employer, Three Six Zero, joined a $20m funding round in Bkstg earlier this year – alongside the likes of Modest! Management, Live Nation and Scooter Braun.
Sealey’s remit will include expanding the company’s operation in Los Angeles, London and Nashville as well as overseeing relationships with Bkstg artists.
“In order to bring music and technology together on one platform, we needed to bring music and technology people together,” says Bkstg CEO Ran Harnevo.
“We did this at the investor level and are continuing at the executive level. James understands the important role technology plays in connecting artists and fans in a direct way and is a key hire to help us join together music and tech.”
“The combination of an exquisitely designed platform, a one-of-a-kind management team and some of the most respected investors in silicon valley was something I couldn’t turn down.”

“Technology has undoubtedly had a massive impact on the music industry. The direct, artist and fan relationship is more important now than ever before, and Bkstg understands this implicitly,” Sealey explains.
“The combination of an exquisitely designed and executed platform, one of a kind management team, and some of the most respected investors in Silicon Valley and the entertainment industry was something I simply couldn’t turn down.
“I am excited to be joining Ran and the entire Bkstg team and I look forward to all Bkstg can achieve for the benefit of artists and their fans.”
Bkstg is headquartered in Los Angeles, California with offices in New York, London, Nashville, and Kiev, Ukraine.
Sealey helped grow Three Six Zero Group’s roster to over 40 artists with a variety of genres including Electronic, Rock, Urban, Alternative and Pop.
He was instrumental in identifying and transacting opportunities across the company, including the development of TSZ Ventures, Three Six Zero Group’s vehicle for investing in and advising innovative start-up companies.
Sealey began his career in the entertainment industry as a manager before moving into law in 2005.Music Business Worldwide
