Popular French rapper Soso Maness has signed a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.
Soso Maness is the stage name of Sofiane Haki Manessou, a French rapper of Algerian heritage.
He has released two albums, Rescapé and Mistral, which have amassed more than 80 million streams on Spotify alone and are included in this new deal.
He has also been featured on tracks by top artists, such as Alonzo, DA Uzi, Jul, Lacrim and Sofiane.
The singer-songwriter is best known for co-writing the song Bande Organisée, which was the most streamed song in France in 2020 and topped the singles chart for 13 consecutive weeks.
He also featured on the Diamond-certified song alongside rappers Jul, Elams, Houari, Kofs, Naps and SCH.
The track was the lead single from the studio album 13 Organisé, which featured all of the leading rappers from the southern city of Marseilles.
His most recent single, So Maness, became a huge hit on urban radio and streaming services during France’s first lockdown earlier this year.
Soso Maness is currently working on a new album, set to be released in the spring of 2021, which will feature some of France’s top rappers, including Maître Gims, PLK and SCH.
The album is set to be released on RCA Records and Maness is a priority artist for Sony Music France.
“It’s very exciting to start collaborating with Soso and help him to create his next album, which I feel will take his career to the next level.”
