Respected technology solutions provider FUGA has signed a deal with historic US label Tommy Boy Entertainment to provide digital distribution.
The agreement will see FUGA handling catalog from artists including Afrika Bambaata, Ghostface Killah, Naughty by Nature and Method Man.
The news comes as FUGA finalizes plans for an American ‘hub’ based in New York.
Set to open later this year, FUGA Americas will offer localized operational support and marketing services to a growing customer base across the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Its longstanding clients in North America include Epitaph Records, Ultra Records and Curb Records.
The New York HQ will be managed by David Driessen, Director of Sales and Client Services, who is relocating from Europe to take up the role.
Driessen’s first hire is Anna Siegel, who joins to handle business development and client relations.
Siegel was previously Director of Marketing and Communications at 7digital, where she led international strategy. Prior to 7digital, she spent over four years in international marketing and business development at independent label Putumayo World Music.

Driessen and team will build on the foundation laid by Chad Tait, FUGA’s Business Development Representative for five years, who moves to artist services company 23/7 Global.
