Glassnote’s Resolved Records is in a significant growth phase.
The company recently acquired the Jerden Records Catalog, consisting of labels including Jerden, Picadilly, First American and Great Northwest.
And today it’s been announced that Resolved has entered into a strategic partnership to provide financial, marketing and industry expertise to the owners of Spacebomb Group, Matthew E. White and Ben Baldwin – along with their partners who are also members of the house band.
The investment will help the duo expand their recording studio, record label, publishing, production, and artist management operations.
The agreement will see the Resolved Records and Glassnote teams – including Glassnote Records, Insieme Music Publishing and Present Artist Management – work closely with Spacebomb Group across Spacebomb Records, Spacebomb Publishing, Spacebomb Productions and Dreamboat artist management.
Glassnote launched Resolved Records in 2014 to offer individualized support and services to entertainment entrepreneurs, emerging producers and independent labels.
Daniel Glass, President/Founder of Glassnote Entertainment, said, “Spacebomb is truly unique, with an exceptional studio and a creative house band of musicians at its heart, much like legendary record labels like Stax and Motown.
“Matthew and his team have already created their own instantly recognizable sound and we’re thrilled to work with them to expand their reach and horizons, and to introduce new artists to this new fantastically creative hub.”
Chris Scully, GM/CFO of Glassnote Entertainment Group, said: “We were first introduced to Matthew E. White and Ben Baldwin when Matthew collaborated with Glassnote artist, Flo Morrissey, on an album recorded at Spacebomb. We were impressed by their creative vision and by joining forces saw a huge capacity and potential for growth.
“Resolved was created to support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ventures that want to grow and Spacebomb Group is exactly that. Investing in Spacebomb is an investment in the future.”

Spacebomb, based in Richmond, Virginia and Bristol, U.K., began as a record label and recording studio assembled under a house band model that would go on to produce and release breakthrough debut albums by Natalie Prass, Bedouine, and Spacebomb founder Matthew E. White.
Spacebomb has attracted media attention from The New Yorker, TIME, Sound On Sound, and The Guardian, which declared, “Spacebomb make albums that sound like a million dollars.”
Additionally, Spacebomb Productions has lent its production team and house band model to artists and bands around the world including Foxygen, The Waterboys, Cocoon, and Slow Club.
Matthew E. White, Founder of Spacebomb Group, stated, “Everything I imagine at Spacebomb is driven by my hunger to make courageous, well crafted, art. Daniel and his team recognize that, welcome it, and encourage it. It is tremendously exciting to work with a partner who believes so clearly, and holistically in what we do.”
Ben Baldwin, CEO of Spacebomb Group, said, “Over the last six years we have focused on building a business with a broad base, a wide range of revenue streams and a team with the ability to seamlessly cover both business and music creation in an integrated way. Having Daniel Glass and Chris Scully find what we were doing through the musical output, then learn about and decide to partner in the vision we have for how a music business can be moving forward into the next 10 to 15 years is fantastic.”
He added, “The vast majority of new music businesses are technology led, which is a vital piece in the puzzle, but we have decided to focus on taking ideas like the House Band, in-house producers, a focus on musical creation, rights ownership and artist support, to make a modern vital business to work in the new landscape. This new partnership will bring us a wealth of experience, resources along with a partner known for being visionaries and getting the job done. We couldn’t be more thrilled to take this next step.”
