About the Role
This is a new position and an exciting opportunity for someone who has prior experience in finance/accounting/client reporting, is passionate about music and the creative industries. We are a friendly, forward-thinking, dynamic and passionate team working for an exciting company in the music sector.
We are looking for someone with accountancy knowledge. It is also imperative that you have proven experience in manipulating large quantities of data in excel order to provide meaningful reporting to management and clients. As we are hybrid working you need to be a self-starter who can work independently but also know when to ask for help and communicate with the rest of the team.
Responsibilities will be varied but will include providing analysis of client revenue and costs, ownership of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledgers in xero and ensuring bookkeeping is in order for all month-end reporting. As the company is growing and this is a fast-moving business there is a lot of opportunity for development.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Detailed analysis of balance sheet reconciliations
- Detailed analysis of P&L reconciliations
- Detailed analysis of monthly reporting to report on customers sales, margins, growth/decline etc
- Reconciliation of Digital Turnover received and paid to labels.
- Assisting with yearend accounts
- Preparation and reconciliation of costs to be recharged to Labels.
- Production and analytics of Digital Trends Report
- Fixed Asset Register
- Assisting with VAT returns
- Posting of month end journals into Xero
- Ad hoc financial analysis of data for management
- General support to the rest of the finance/reporting team and other ad hoc tasks as required
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Strong Excel skills, must be confident in manipulating and interpreting large amounts of data
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally.
- Flexible thinker with a curious mind.
- Excellent attention to detail
