Alter, Kendrick & Baron, LLP, a boutique entertainment law firm in New York City with an emphasis in music copyright law, seeks a highly motivated individual for an in-office position as executive/legal assistant to a Partner.
Responsibilities include
- Fielding client and potential client calls
- Scheduling meetings and managing calendars
- Maintaining firm electronic and physical filing system
- Document management
- Drafting correspondence and document processing
- Tracking client projects and deal flow
- Conducting copyright registration research and data entry related thereto
- Submitting documents pertaining to copyright to the US Copyright Office
- Preparing engagement agreements and related new client onboarding documents
- Processing incoming mail
- Planning travel, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation
- Some personal assistant tasks and errands
Applicants should be proactive, detail-oriented, extremely organized, personable, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Multi-tasking skills and strong verbal communication are a must.
Knowledge of the music industry and music business terminology is a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience.
