THE ROLE
We are looking for an Accounts Receiveable Specialist on a full time permanent contract. This role will be based in our London office in Farringdon, in Hatton Garden on a hybrid working pattern. You’ll be 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) the rest of the time from home.
You will be a key team member of the international Finance team and will be responsible for Accounts Receivables, Credit Control and liaising with Customers to resolve any queries that may be preventing payment. You will be working closely with key external and internal stakeholders including Customers, Sales & Copyright.
The key areas of responsibility include:
Accounts Receivable
- Check bank accounts on a daily basis, post cash and credit card receipts and allocate to invoices
- Clear unmatched receipts, reconcile customer accounts and manage AR ledger for the UK entity
Customer credit vetting and verification of new customer accounts in line with internally established timeline - Monitor SalesForce invoice processing queue to ensure sales invoices are processing as expected and raise customer credit notes when necessary
- Work towards set monthly collection targets and KPI’s to reduce debtor balance and overdue amounts
- Responsible for resolving any customer queries, disputes or barriers to payment
- Perform Sales revenue reconciliation at month end for the UK entity and credit card reconciliations
- Provide detailed aged debtor analysis with commentary to Global AR Manager on a monthly basis
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to the customers
- Maintain strong relationships with customers providing outstanding customer service
- Daily monitoring and resolution of customer queries and cases
- Daily monitoring of integration tool to ensure sales invoices are flowing from CRM system into accounting software without issues and delays
TEAM:
- Support the Global AR and Cash Management Manager on general tasks, including month-end.
- Help the Finance team meet deadlines during busy times of the year
- Assist the Finance team and other departments with answering AR related calls, e-mails and resolving queries
EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years credit control / cash collection experience
- Previous experience working in international business with multicurrency customer billings (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Good commercial and general finance knowledge
- Experience collecting from domestic, foreign, and corporate global companies
- Knowledge of and ability to resolve Withholding Tax queries desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures
- SalesForce, Creditsafe and SAP B1 systems knowledge is perferred but not essential
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Excel skills
