WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Creative Licensing Executive – UK TV on a full time, permanent basis. You’ll be part of the Audio Network team, but specifically part of a close-knit UK Sales team. A bunch of music geeks (artists, DJs, producers etc) the team are progressive in their approach to what we do and we all look out for each other.
Based in our Manchester satellite office in the heart of Manchester, working three days a week in the office, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the rest of the week working from home. You’ll split your time between there and visiting clients up and down the country on a regular basis.
THE ROLE
As a Creative Licensing Executive, you’ll participate and contribute to weekly and monthly team meetings, providing insight and guidance into how working hours are spent. You’ll bring with you a deep understanding of Broadcast and TV Production and its community in the UK. Understanding how music helps to tell stories and is synced in TV programming is essential.
A creative thinker, you’ll also be able to grasp data, using it to help guide how you work. You’ll build new and nurture existing relationships with producers and editors from production companies based in Manchester and across the Nations and Regions, ensuring they know where to go when they want good service, and good music.
You’ll get to know the catalogue, the artists, producers and composers we work with so that you’re able to pitch the right track to the right project every time.
You’ll feedback to our music team letting them know any gaps in the catalogue – and any hot spots too! If you spot a creative opportunity whether that be in terms of licensing or a marketing idea, you’ll have the initiative to jump on it and give it wings.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a sync position at a music a company, ideally with experience of music licensing. You need to know music, love TV content and know which production companies make which programming. Solid client facing experience is something you’ll have bags of.
Presenting and networking are second nature to you; You’re confident, can create compelling pitches, and communicate your ideas articulately.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within sync / publishing / music supervision / licensing
- Existing relationships within the UK Television production and broadcast community are a plus but not essential
- Highly experienced in pitching music to creatives and production teams
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and respond to changing demands
- Proactive, creative and solution-oriented approach
- Data orientated and able to form creative strategies from a data led approach
- Experience of driving and improving processes and working practices
