As Director, Culture and Content at AWAL you will work at the nexus of music, technology and entertainment, amplifying artist stories that shape culture.

What you’ll do
- Trial, refine and ship new business ideas focusing on creating new assets and distribution channels for AWAL artists
- Create scalable processes around these business ideas that can be deployed internationally
- Work closely with marketing and promotions team to onboard business ideas that enhance their effectiveness in the consumer creator space
- Work with artist teams to create moments, capture content of these moments and distribute content to relevant audiences
- Identify, set briefs and evaluate impact of work done by relevant 3rd party companies
- Identify opportunities and implement new tactics and strategies in the fields of gaming, native advertising products and data analysis

- Know, understand and exploit current trends in viral marketing, content formats and online storytelling tactics

- Be able to operate in business spaces that are volatile, unpredictable, complex and ambiguous

- Set project objectives and targets and be able to evaluate them
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have good computer skills i.e.: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, strong knowledge of Google docs / Cloud sharing methods and analytics platforms
Who you are
- You have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in the music or entertainment industry ideally in influencer marketing, digital marketing, content creation
- You have unlimited curiosity
- You are familiar with the AWAL business model & the company values
- You have a strong understanding of the inner workings and deliverables required for the life cycle of global music releases, particularly in online storytelling and audience growth
- You are comfortable in hiring & working with creative teams / agencies and promotion teams
- You have detailed knowledge of the short form video and social media space across platforms like Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snap, Discord
- You have an understanding of what it means to work releases in a global marketplace
- You have experience in implementing effective paid media advertising / creator marketing & an awareness on how to identify target audiences
- You are willing to take a hands-on approach and ready to execute a wide range of tasks
- You have a start-up, entrepreneurial mentality, with a preference for teamwork and collaboration
