Overview

As Senior Manager, Artist Support you will play a key role in helping artists and labels bring their musical and creative dreams to life. You will be the main contact, advocate, and champion for a roster of artists (both early-stage and established), labels, and catalog partners.

You will support artist and label partners throughout and beyond the release cycle by delivering excellent, best-in-class, operational support and providing proactive recommendations that help them develop their marketing, creative, and fan engagement strategies. What you’ll do
  • Act as main AWAL contact and a world-class partner to a roster of artists, labels, and catalog partners supporting them in their music releases, marketing strategies, and operational business needs.
  • Collaborate with dealmakers and A&R team to build and nurture exceptional, close, trusting relationships with artists, managers, and label teams.
  • Partner with artists, artist teams, and labels to add value and advise on marketing, content, and audience development strategies and budgeting across new releases and catalogs.
  • Provide best-in-class operational support for artist and label partners including but not limited to product deliveries, quality control, accounting questions, and proactive suggestions to maximize platform tools and profile optimization.
  • Guide artists and labels in writing effective DSP pitches and ensure the Global Commercial Partnerships team has all project background, data, and assets for timely pitching.
  • Habitually monitor commercial and audience data to proactively provide support and suggestions to artists and labels.
  • Advise artists and labels on catalog best practices including viral track marketing, maximizing anniversaries and cultural moments, and physical product strategies.
  • Oversee and organize global physical product release workflow between artist/label and internal AWAL teams including new product ideation, production, represses, and retail marketing opportunities.\Regularly attend shows and events for artists and label partners.

Who you are
  • 5 years experience working directly with artists, labels, and catalogs with a proven track record of impacting growth.
  • A music superfan fluent with social media and online culture.
  • A utility player with a strong sense of curiosity, eager to never stop learning about all aspects of marketing, artist development and the wider music business.
  • Exceptional relationship management and written and spoken communication skills with the ability to lead high priority relationships.
  • Experience navigating complex, time sensitive operational needs, accounting, and release set ups while maintaining confidence and composure.
  • Experience working on physical product releases.
  • Passionate about supporting artists and proud of the work you can do to help them.
