Established in 1999, the label began in New York City as an outlet for up-and-coming IDM, ambient, and experimental sounds. Moving to D.C. in 2005 led to releases from new Baltimore acts bringing new international attention to the Carpark roster. After 25 years in business, the label continues to work with exciting, genre-bending bands across the world.


position summary

The Marketing and Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. The role blends creative input, analytical thinking, and impeccable organization. This person will guide artists through each stage of an album campaign, building out the associated assets, and keep its team (managers, publicists, radio teams, distributors, etc…) up to date on all of the latest.


responsibilities
  • Project management of all releases
  • Facilitate production/creative process including mixing, mastering, hiring creatives, and physical manufacturing orders
  • Create and maintain catalog’s metadata
  • Execute digital marketing efforts including social media strategy, digital advertising, and email marketing
  • Manage online presence including social media accounts, D2C platforms, and websites (WordPress and Squarespace)
  • Maintain archive of all assets/files on Google Drive
  • Copywriting in the form of bio/one sheets, blurbs, and press releases
  • Configure releases for digital and physical products with distributor
  • Manage international inventory and logistics
  • Distribute release assets to external partners/team
  • Photo and video editing

  • Excellent relationship-building and relationship-management skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Digital marketing experience with proven results and knowledge of social media trends
  • Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, content management platforms
  • Background 2-3 years music industry/record label experience preferred
  • Familiarity and enthusiasm for Carpark’s roster
