Job Title: Director, Digital/Marketing Hybrid

A little bit about our team:

The Digital Marketing team at Elektra is central to our operations, and at the forefront of breaking artists and speaking to their fans. We are a fan and creative first label. We are strategy led, creative, we speak fandom and are outspoken in personality. As an internal and external key stakeholder in our artist’s careers, the Digital Marketing team is responsible for shaping and executing what makes our artists resonate with the world.

The Marketing Team works cross functionally with all departments in the Elektra ecosystem to successfully Project Manager artist’s singles, albums, and special projects from inception to completion.

You will be responsible for a designated roster of artists, acting as their point person for all things Digital and Marketing related.


Your role

In this newly created hybrid role as Director, Digital / Marketing, you possess a unique set of specializations in the digital as well as Project Management realm. You’re an independent, proactive thinker who also loves to cross collaborate productively with the members of an artist’s team.

You know how to create a plan, ideate it, execute it, learn from it and adapt. You’re a storyteller who’s passionate about helping artists get their vision out in any form.

As a proven marketer with a track record of running point on album campaigns, you are excited about the opportunity to sit in both the Digital and Marketing worlds of Elektra.


Here you’ll get to
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the digital landscape with social and short form platforms.
  • Work hand in hand with the Project Managers and the Content team to create bespoke strategies for your roster of artists.
  • Establish relationships and interface directly with artists, managers and key label executives in order to develop compelling and powerful digital marketing strategies for your tailored roster of artists.
  • Construct community/fan-building initiatives. Identify who the fans are or will be, develop their community online via various platforms and empower them to be a part of the artist’s story.
  • Build and manage new and ongoing relationships with our external partners and affiliates.
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Managers and Content teams to ideate, budget, and execute effective digital advertising campaigns for artists, creating a strong presence in the desired target market and community.
  • Work closely with artists and artist management to ensure requests and expectations are handled thoughtfully and carried out effectively.
  • Attend and contribute to all related company meetings in connection with assigned projects, and provide dept. head with timely feedback and follow-up regarding any action items.
  • Effectively communicate all aspects of your projects on a regular basis to the entire company (whether that be written, or confidently presenting in our meetings).

About you
  • 4+ years of digital and traditional marketing experience.
  • You have excellent communication skills.
  • You are excited about breaking songs, artists, and creating moments.
  • You live on TikTok, Reels and Shorts; you are a culture expert.
  • You’re passionate about the music industry and eager to learn and grow with us
  • You are both creative and curious.
  • You have strong organizational skills and are capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • You have excellent communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
  • You embrace change and are ready to take on new challenges as they come.
  • You have a clear understanding of industry standard analytical tools, and a knowledge for data analysis.
  • You understand working with creators and influencers.
  • You have experience writing copy as well as creating and editing basic photo/video content.
  • You are a quick learner who is excited to discover and master new platforms, apps and services
  • You are an innate problem solver.
  • You thrive on cross collaboration in a passionate environment.
    We’d love it if you also had:
  • Experience working with Google Workspace, and industry standards for data analysis (i.e., Luminate, Billboard, Spotify for Artists, Mediabase, etc.)
  • Experience creating presentations with Canva, Powerpoint and Adobe.
  • Experience working with physical album production and go to market strategy.
  • A passion and understanding of our cornerstone lifestyle brands; Elektra Records, Fueled by Ramen and Roadrunner Records.
