Enhanced Music is looking for an experienced A&R to join the team, focussing on our Publishing roster, but also contributing to the Label A&R team across creative aspects.
Founded in 2008, London based Enhanced Music is an independent label & publisher group, predominantly working across dance and electronic genres. With thousands of publishing titles and label releases, Enhanced Music has achieved billions of streams and accolades including Gold to Platinum selling releases, and even a Grammy. Enhanced has seen sustained growth, global success and is highly regarded within the industry today.
In late 2024 Enhanced unveiled new studios at their London HQ, comprising three recording studios and a separate live space for radio show production and DJ performances. The company have placed a significant focus and investment into their Publishing division and having recently partnered with Create Music Group, are looking to further this investment.
Enhanced are looking for a highly motivated and well-connected A&R to help continue this growth and provide outstanding service to their roster. Enhanced are dedicated to discovering and nurturing incredible talent.
Role Specifics
- Identify and sign the best new artists, songwriters, producers, and vocalists to our publishing roster.
- Be a first point of contact from a creative standpoint with our existing publishing roster and their teams.
- Oversee collaboration management by connecting songwriters with other creatives, both internally and externally, to ensure the creation of the best possible songs from arranging sessions to pitching and placing the songs with meaningful artists globally.
- Facilitate songwriting camps, sessions, and strategic collaborations to expand opportunities for our publishing talent.
- Close the loop and be a communicative go-between for our Label and Publishing teams from a songs and music perspective.
- Negotiate song splits and publishing deals, working with our licensing managers to ensure fair terms and strong partnerships for both the company and our roster.
- Facilitate collaborations with suitable external creatives for the specific label artists’ needs (e.g., vocalists, songwriters).
- Pitch label instrumental tracks to songwriters, publishers, and managers, ensuring the selection of top-tier vocals and songwriting that suit the vision of the artist and label.
- Contribute feedback in Label A&R meetings, with particular focus on songwriting and vocals.
- Initiate deal negotiations, establishing terms with songwriters and vocalists, and maintaining positive relationships with all parties involved.
- Maintain and organise assets, including pitched toplines and vocal stems, using Dropbox, Monday and DISCO.
- Be available when required for studio sessions, ensuring writers and artists have everything they need while serving as the primary point of contact for all studio-related queries and technical support.
- Provide hands-on session support when required, welcoming writers, ensuring they are fully equipped, and assisting them with studio technology.
- Oversee studio organisation, cleanliness, functionality, and equipment upkeep.
- Troubleshoot studio issues and provide technical guidance to artists and writers, ensuring smooth operation.
Skills required:
- Minimum of 4 years A&R experience
- Experience with negotiating deals and contracting processes
- Have a strong, existing network of both London and international based artists, songwriters, producers, vocalists, A&R’s, labels and publisher contacts.
- Solid, up-to-date knowledge of production software, studio equipment and recording processes.
- Creative, ability to solve problems and find solutions.
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.
- Incredible attention to detail & professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to be pro-active, stay organised, work autonomously and prioritise tasks independently.
- Must be a team player, capable of working closely with others.
