What We Do

Epic Games’ Global Partnerships team is responsible for negotiating and executing partnerships for Epic’s owned first-party games: Fortnite (including Fortnite Festival), Fall Guys, and Rocket League.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for an organized, collaborative, ambitious, and self-motivated Senior Manager, Music Licensing to join our team and help manage music licensing efforts for Epic’s first-party game properties, including Fortnite Festival. You’ll work with labels, publishers, artists and internal Epic stakeholders to identify and execute music integration opportunities in line with the Global Partnerships’ team vision and Epic’s business goals.

In this role, you will
  • Serve as Global Partnerships team lead on all initiatives that require licensed music, from ideation to negotiations to launch
  • Use market and player insights to identify optimal music for gameplay, monetization, and marketing needs
  • Lead music clearance process on behalf of Epic; determine necessary terms for campaigns, partnerships, and projects; ensure music is properly licensed on time and at Epic quality, in partnership with cross-functional internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with music industry stakeholders
  • Identify KPIs and manage budgets for music licensing needs
  • Maintain detailed record of clearances to keep Partnerships team and broader internal stakeholders informed of clearance status
  • Evaluate the success of music integration opportunities based on identified KPIs and create reports for internal and external stakeholders as needed
What we’re looking for
  • 7+ years of experience in music licensing
  • Capable of using market and player insights to inform decision-making
  • Understanding of and interest in gaming
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in fast-paced environments
  • Able to build long-term internal and external relationships with key stakeholders

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA & WA).
