Job Summary
As the Director of Product Management for the Data & Analytics team, you will oversee the development and management of innovative data products that drive strategic decisions in the touring and digital domains of our artists’ businesses.
Your leadership will be instrumental in managing products that predict and analyze touring demand and pricing, as well as streaming and social media engagement, using advanced data science techniques.
This role is pivotal in leveraging analytics to optimize artist visibility, fan engagement, and profitability across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy for data-driven tools that support touring, streaming, and e-commerce analytics and data science. Ensure these products deliver valuable insights for strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Manage and expand a team of product managers and designers dedicated to developing and refining data products. Foster a culture of innovation, precision, and performance within the team.
- Work closely with stakeholders across our partner companies to align product development with business needs and artist strategies. Ensure seamless integration and usability of data products across the company.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing products based on user feedback and changing market conditions. Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure Firebird remains at the forefront of technology and analytics in the music sector.
- Oversee the development of intuitive and actionable dashboards and reporting tools that
translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical users. - Coordinate with external partners and vendors to enhance product capabilities and integrate third-party data sources effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Product Management, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, specifically in data products, with a demonstrated ability to lead and innovate in high-pressure and dynamic business settings.
- Strong proficiency in analytics, user experience design, and product development cycles.
- Familiarity with programming in R or Python, and expertise in visualization tools such as R Shiny, Looker, or Tableau.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing products that leverage complex datasets to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas effectively and motivating a team towards common goals.
- Deep understanding of the music industry’s dynamics, particularly in touring and digital media, with prior experience in a related field highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation for this position includes a base salary of $125,000 to $200,000 per year + bonus + equity + 401(k) with company matching, comprehensive health benefits, and other perks.
