We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and key financial processes across all aspects of our business.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Live Event Financial Management:

  • Own and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for live events, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee live event settlements, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of financial records and to work with promotions teams and venues for timely resolution of issues.
  • Participate in weekly event reconciliation meetings and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Forecast live event financials into QuickBooks (QB) for accurate financial reporting.

2. Live Event Tracking and Reporting:

  • Track and report actual financial performance against budget for live events, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.
  • Manage ticketing revenue recognition processes in compliance with accounting standards.

3. Non-Event Financial Operations:

  • Handle non-event agency & overhead P&Ls and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage QuickBooks and perform bookkeeping tasks, including vendor payruns, invoicing, and collections.
  • Complete W9/W8Ben forms as required for vendor compliance.
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as balance sheet reconciliations.

4. Payroll and Vendor Management:

  • Oversee payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including talent master management for events.
  • Complete W9/W8Ben forms as required for vendor compliance.
  • Maintain 1099 and 1042 records and handle reporting requirements.

5. Management Reporting

  • Timely preparation of standard monthly reporting package for management review (P&L, B/S + SCF)
  • Summarize key variances and trends for follow-on actions
  • Cashflow forecasting & Oversight of key trends to ensure business manages cash-flow requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments, start-ups and growth focused companies, particularly in hospitality, live events promotion or agency work, is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and bill.com
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and interest in being very hands on, supporting the executive team with key decisions to ensure business can grow and scale effectively
  • Willing to challenge the status quo and creating effective and efficient processes and infrastructure to support the business long-term
